project overview
What does a wellness tool look like when the body is treated as relational rather than isolated?
resona is a wellness interface designed to shift the focus from biometric tracking to body-environment awareness. This project moves away from the reductive nature of modern data, reinterpreting the body as a relational rhythm shaped by time and surroundings, a vision deeply inspired by the East Asian concept of Qi.
Developed in response to the theme "Extra-Sensory," resona acts as an additional sensory layer. Rather than reporting heart rate in a vacuum, it correlates physiological signals with environmental context to provide a deeper understanding of the "why" behind our physical states.
The design process involved translating abstract philosophy into a functional UX framework. By reframing Qi as a pattern of regulation and avoiding causality bias in data visualization, resona proposes a language where wellbeing is a collective practice instead of an individual task. It is an exploration of how technology can help us inhabit our atmospheres with greater harmony.
