project overview

Concept
News Re-framed is an interactive web platform that explores how design shapes the presentation and interpretation of news. It transforms passive scrolling into a deliberate exploration by deconstructing feeds from opposing sources and reconstructing them into a multi-layered interface, allowing users to actively navigate and analyze information.

Systematic Logic
The platform uses four Frame Logics to translate metadata into visual forms. Plain View removes editorial hierarchy to present randomized headlines, Impact View emphasizes engagement metrics through spatial weight, Response View visualizes audience sentiment using frame tilt and dynamic hashtags, and Tone View reflects rhetorical intensity through bubble shapes and typographic weight. These logics guide readers through news in a structured and analytical way.

Methodology
Custom AI algorithms categorize datasets and generate real-time scores for political stance and engagement. Metadata is mapped to graphic parameters, integrating design research with technological application. This approach highlights how interface structures can shape how users engage with complex news information.
